I’m Yash Khandelwal, a freelance performance marketer and tracking specialist based in Pune. I help D2C brands and B2B companies build the tracking and paid media infrastructure that connects their ad spend to actual revenue.

My engineering background gives me something most performance marketers don’t have: the ability to think in systems and debug infrastructure — not just optimise ad creative.

My work starts where most marketers stop. Before any campaign runs, I build the tracking foundation — because campaigns running without reliable attribution data are campaigns you can’t learn from, scale confidently, or prove ROI on.

How I Think & Work

My approach to marketing is simple.
I believe growth should be intentional, structured, and measurable.

Here’s how I usually approach a project.

FOUNDATION FIRST

Before thinking about ads or traffic, I focus on building the base. That means making sure the website, analytics, and tracking systems are set up properly.
• GA4 and conversion tracking
• Google Tag Manager
• Pixel integrations
• Clear website structure
Without this foundation, running ads only makes problems more expensive.

DATA BEFORE DECISIONS

Once tracking is in place, the next step is understanding user behavior. I look at:
• how users move through the website
• where they drop off
• what content they engage with
• what they search for
This helps make decisions based on real behavior, not assumptions.

PERCEPTION MATTERS

In many industries, customers don’t buy immediately. They research. They search on Google. They read reviews. They check whether a brand feels trustworthy.
That’s why I pay close attention to:
• SEO
• content credibility
• brand positioning
• reviews and digital presence
Because perception often decides whether someone trusts a brand.

THEN WE SCALE

Once the structure and perception are in place, performance marketing becomes much more effective. That’s when we scale through:
• Meta Ads
• Google Ads
• creative testing
• funnel optimization
This keeps growth sustainable instead of chaotic.

THE WAY I SEE MARKETING

For me, marketing is not just campaigns or tools.
It’s a system where strategy, data, content, and perception all work together.
And when that system is built correctly, growth becomes much easier to manage
